Vindobona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a licensed 65-bed skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation facility located in the history-rich community of Braddock Heights, Maryland, overlooking picturesque Middletown Valley. Our center is 10 minutes from downtown Frederick, and is less than 50 miles west of Baltimore and northwest of Washington, D.C. Originally a hotel, in which President Franklin D. Roosevelt was known to visit, the building was converted to a skilled nursing facility in 1954. The Vindobona team continues today to work diligently to maintain its historic charm and Bed & Breakfast ambience. In fact, our campus includes the Roosevelt wing, which is an 11-bed skilled care unit designed for healing and comfort while rehabilitating residents from a hospital stay.
Our residents enjoy scheduled events, and our team is staffed with loving caregivers who strive to offer diverse daily activities that maximize independence and dignity, allowing residents to reach their optimal health. Featuring private and semi-private room options, we gladly offer post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, dementia care, certified wound care, comfort care, and respite stays.
